Stat Holiday – Victoria Day

Monday May 20th is Victoria Day, residents who work this day are entitled to 2x their regular pay and a day in lieu.

 

Jury Duty

Residents required to attend cuort for jury duty or as a witness do not lose benefits or pay for the period they require leave. For more information see Article 25 of the Collective Agreement.

 

Call Stipend Implementation Committee

PAR-BC is currently seeking residents to join the Joint Implementation Committee responsible for on-call stipends. This committee meets with the employer and UBC to implement and moniter call stipends. If interested please submit a letter of intent (2 pages of less) to the Bargaining Team by emailing .

BCMA Walk with your Docs

The BCMA had over 150 people join 21 doctors for a 2 km hike at the Kitsilano Walk with your Doc event on May 5th. PAR-BC residents joined in the event including Drs. Alenezi, Wan and Stoynova pictured above. Congratulations on a great event!

 

CAIR Elections

Thank you to everyone who participated in this years BC Representative Election. Dr. Arun Jagdeo will be joining Dr. Chris Little and the PAR-BC president as BC Representatives at CAIR for the 2013/2014 academic year.
