BC Medical Services Plan (BC Care Card)

The Employer pays for 100% of MSP coverage for residents and their dependents.  Residents must return the MSP Enrollment form, along with proof of citizenship – the enrollment form is included in their UBC Welcome Package, along with a return envelope to Health Shared Services BC (HSSBC).  Incomplete or incorrect forms will delay the process, it is also recommended that you provide your most recent address as your BC Care Card will be sent to the address indicated on your form.  Residents are enrolled under a group plan by HSSBC, Employee Records and Benefits, Vancouver Coastal Health department, therefore all forms must be returned to their address.

If you have not received your BC Care Card, you can follow up with HSSBC by contacting the Employee Records and Benefits, Vancouver Coastal Health department:

  • Phone: /
  • Fax:
  • Email:
  • 1st Floor – 1795 Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5C 6E3

The Employee Records and Benefits department can answer any questions regarding enrollment of dependents, reimbursement of any eligible MSP bills, and tracking the process of your enrollment.
