Abbotsford
Abbotsford is a city to the North of the Canada-US border, South of Mission, East of Langley, and West of Chilliwack. It is the fifth most populated city in British Columbia.
Transit
Abbotsford has a transit system run by Transit BC, under the Central Fraser Valley Transit System.
There are several fare options.
- Employer Passes – some of the hospitals have employer passes that you can join but they require a minimum one-year commitment
- Monthly passes (FareCard)– The Monthly Pass can be used an unlimited number of times a month. It is valid region-wide and costs $45.00 for adults
- Day Pass – The Day Pass can be used an unlimited number of times during a day. It costs $4.50 for adults
- Cash Fares – This can be purchased on the bus and cost $1.75 per ticket

There is one option that is not available to you that you may hear about:
- U-Pass – UBC has a program for its students to provide transit savings, however as a resident you are classed as a learner so that you only pay registration fees not tuition. You are however entitled to some UBC perks such as a library card.
