Whistler is a popular resort town that becomes increasingly popular during winter months, as tourists like to sky and snowboard there. Over two million tourists visit Whistler annually, making tourism its main industry.

Transit

Transit is provided by BC Transit.

When traveling via bus, there are several fare options.

  • Employer Passes – some of the hospitals have employer passes that you can join but they require a minimum one-year commitment.
  • Cash Fares – $2.50 per ticket. Transfers are free, but you must notify the bus driver when you pay your fare.
  • Sheet of 10 tickets – The fare for this is $20.00 for adults.
  • DayPASS – The DayPASS can be used an unlimited number of times a day. It is valid region-wide and costs $7.00 for adults.
  • Monthly Pass – The Monthly Pass can be used an unlimited number of times a month. It is valid region-wide and costs $65.00 for adults.

* Resident Tip: Save your monthly passes, because you could be eligible for a federal tax credit.
