Beginning Residency

Policies

UBC has several policies regarding residents including moonlighting, prescribing privileges, leave, and evaluations and appeals for a complete list click here.

STAR

STAR is UBC's Staff Activity Reporter, an online database for information tracking and management. For more information on the program click here.

Student Service Centre

The Student Service Centre is where residents can pay their registration fees online. It requires a CWL (Campus Wide Login) which is initailly set as your student number and birthdate (YYMMDD).

Please be advised that fees are not tuition and as such you do not have student status for tax or loan purposes. You are also ineligible for a Upass.

This service also needs to be notified of any address or name changes.

WebEval/One45/ITERS – "In-Training Education Report"

Many programs use an online service called WebEval to post readings, schedules, and forms pertinent to the program. WebEval is also used for the completion and posting of your rotation evaluations.

The web address is https://www.one45.med.ubc.ca/

Double-check with your program administrator if you need to sign up, as not all the programs use WebEval.

UBC Card

Residents receive a UBC card, which provides several benefits, including access to all UBC libraries.
